In the early 1920s, a wealthy Umbrian gentleman, Allerame Baldoni, a lover of these lands and the hills overlooking and embracing this Gulf, was enchanted by the views during his many excursions to admire them. He fell in love with them and subsequently purchased several plots of land in the Pagnano area.
Despite the rocky nature of the terrain, Baldoni managed to build a castle entirely constructed of hammered travertine stone.
Work began in 1925 with the construction of the foundations and the old cave used as a cellar.
The work was completed in the autumn of 1928 and transformed everything into a majestic work, the Castle and the Master's Villa.
The work thus today embodies the elegance and prestige of a bygone era and bears witness to the eternal love for the timeless beauty of a territory and its "composite landscapes".
