Prestigious historic mansion in the Lombard countryside near Olgiate Molgora in the province of Lecco. Supposedly, the construction of the villa, in classic Lombard Barocchetto style, was completed in 1702, as appears on the frontispiece of the annexed Chapel dedicated to Saints Ambrose and Galdino.
The property of about 1,800 square meters is spread over a land of about 10 hectares formed by various gardens. The main house consists of a large central body, where, on the ground floor are three large halls, a dining room, a gallery and a theater. On the, second floor, accessed by a major staircase, are the large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. On the outer side, bordering the Villa are what were once the farmsteads and farmers' houses, which currently, after careful renovation, have become three beautiful apartments.
The English garden that opens in front of the house features a multitude of very rare tree species from different parts of the world. Superb specimens include the centuries-old oriental plane tree, the asplenifolia beech and some Lebanon maples. The sinuosity of this garden is precisely an inherent characteristic of the English garden, where the view is lost in nature and physical boundaries disappear, causing the viewer walking through the garden to discover Romanesque statues, a pond and some fountains.
At the back of the Villa is a renowned and delightful Italian garden, arranged in terraces on the hillside, divided in the center by a perspective directrix of ramps and stairways. Here hidden among the small green hills is the "Secret Garden". This marvelous scenery can be admired and contemplated through the large windows of the halls of the main body and from what in the days was the Granary but is now a large apartment of about 400 square meters. Completing the importance of this property, leaning on the left side of the main body, is the small consecrated Chapel.
